Different rooms within a data-centre facility have different requirements. IMPACTPRO is intended as a bonded internal PVC-u finish only in areas where the approved project specification permits it and where relevant fire, electrical, security and operational requirements have been resolved.

Why specify PVC-u wall cladding in suitable data-centre areas?
Where the approved project design permits a bonded PVC-u finish, IMPACTPRO provides a durable, cleanable internal lining with large-format sheet planning, project-specific detailing and UK-wide supply and specialist installation support.
IMPACTPRO does not replace fire-rated compartment walls or passive fire protection, ESD-control systems, security-rated construction, the acoustic, thermal or airtightness performance of the wall build-up, fire suppression, cooling or other data-centre engineering systems.
Specification boundary: fire strategy, substrate, electrical requirements, ESD control, security, acoustic performance, thermal performance and specialist services must be resolved by the relevant project designers and systems. IMPACTPRO is the internal wall finish where the approved design permits its use.
Plan the wall around the room — not the other way around
Large-format sheet planning matters in technical spaces because doors, windows, containment routes, service penetrations and wall-mounted equipment can quickly turn a simple wall into a complex installation.
IMPACTPRO project formats are based around 1220 mm sheet widths. Typical sheet heights across the range can include 2440, 2800 and 3050 mm, subject to the selected finish and current product availability.
Doors and windows should be checked against the vertical sheet set-out. Where suitable, a joint can align with an opening jamb rather than crossing the opening. Sockets and service penetrations should be kept clear of vertical sheet joints where practicable, with the sheet start position adjusted before cutting.

Coordinate the interfaces before installation starts
Doors, frames, services, corners and floor or ceiling junctions are where otherwise simple sheet layouts become complex. Impact Group UK can review these interfaces before fitting begins.
Doors, Windows and Frames
Door and window positions should be checked against the sheet set-out so a vertical joint does not run through the opening. Where suitable, the joint can be aligned to a jamb and the remaining cuts planned around the frame detail.
Service Penetrations
Cable routes, conduits, sockets and wall penetrations need agreed positions before the sheet layout is finalised. Where practicable, the set-out should keep these service features clear of vertical sheet joints.
Internal Corners
Corner strategy can use the selected system's approved profile or formed detail, depending on product, geometry and specification.
External Corners
Exposed corners are vulnerable to damage and should be coordinated with the intended wall-protection strategy where required.
Floor and Ceiling Interfaces
Top and bottom terminations should follow the approved wall build-up, floor finish, skirting or coving and ceiling interface.
Wall Protection Interfaces
Where circulation or service routes need additional impact protection, the wall-cladding and protection package can be coordinated together.

Is IMPACTPRO a fire-rated compartment wall system?
No. IMPACTPRO is an internal wall-cladding finish. It does not replace fire-rated walls, cavity barriers, fire stopping or other passive fire-protection systems. The complete construction must follow the project's approved fire strategy and specification.
Is IMPACTPRO an ESD wall system?
IMPACTPRO should not be presented as a specialist ESD-control system unless a specific approved product specification states otherwise. Any ESD requirement for a data-centre space must be designed and verified separately.
Can PVC-u wall cladding be installed around services and penetrations?
Yes. Doors, windows and service penetrations can be incorporated into the sheet layout, but the set-out should be checked before cutting. Where suitable, vertical joints can align with opening jambs rather than crossing the opening, while sockets and service penetrations should be kept clear of vertical joints where practicable.
